Shab E Meraj the Night Journey of Isra and Miraj

Shab E Meraj the night journey is celebrated on Rajab 27th in the Islamic Lunar calendar. On this night journey command for 5 daily prayers (Salat, Namaz) was also given to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. Shab E Meraj the night journey in which the Holy Prophet (PBUH) صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم went on a particular journey to meet Allah Almighty, crossing seven skies on the Buraq.

The women devotees offer prayers (Ibadat) in particular gatherings inside their homes all night, whereas males used to offer prayers (Ibadat) in specially decorated Mosques for looking for the blessings of Allah.
During the gatherings, various Islamic scholars (Ulama) highlight the significance of the day and its blessings. Muslims have also arranged particular prayers in Mosques and other places on this blessed night to look for blessings of the Almighty.

Shab E Meraj the night journey is a magnificent night, marking the Surah al Isra another name of the same Surah is Bani Israel. (17:01)

Glorious is He Who made his servant travel by night from Masjid ul Haram to Masjid ul Aqsa whose environs We have blessed so that we let him see some of our signs. Surely, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. (17:01)
And Meraj of Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) when he was taken from Makkah to Masjid Al Aqsa and taken to 7th skies and Arsh e Mualla, it is a place where no one can be gone and much more places during a single night in the year of 621 with Allah’s powers

Who did the Prophet meet in the heavens?

On the way, the Holy Prophet, صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, met Hazrat Adam (AS), Hazrat Abraham (AS), Hazrat Moses (AS), Hazrat Jesus (AS) and some other Prophets. The purpose of the Ascent was to verify the high status of the Prophet of Islam the Holy Prophet, صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, a position which all Muslims believe, is not possible to achieve by any other human being.

Islamic Scholars told that it is related that even Gabriel, the Angel who was accompanying the Holy Prophet, صلیوسلم علیہ remarked at one stage, ‘I am forced to stop here. I cannot go anymore, but you Messenger and prophet of peace صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and friend of the Master of the worlds, continue your glorious ascent.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) continued his journey until he reached very close to the Arsh e Moalla Almighty and attained the utmost nearness to Him.
