Surah Al Baqarah (The cow) is the second and the lengthiest Surah of the Holy Quran, starting from the First Juzz till the third part, and consists of 286 verses and 6958 words. Surah Al Baqarah was revealed in the city of Madinah so it is called Madani Surah.
Benefits of Surat Al Baqarah
Surah Al Baqarah protects from the attack of Shaytan. It is said by Holy Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) that the person who develops a habit of reciting the four starting verses of Surah Baqarah along with Ayatul Kursi and Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayats will get his life, belongings or assets and family protected will remain sheltered from Shaytan and will not become among those who forget Allah.
