Surah As-Saffat is the 37th chapter of the Holy Quran, revealed in Makkah, making it a Makki Surah. It consists of 182 verses, 865 words, and 3798 letters, and it is found in Juz 23 of the Quran. The name “As-Saffat” means “Those Who Stand in Ranks“, referring to the angels who remain in disciplined ranks, glorifying and obeying Allah.
This Surah focuses on the oneness of Allah (Tawheed), the power of angels, the fate of believers and disbelievers, and the stories of past prophets. It emphasizes the certainty of resurrection, the rewards of Paradise, and the punishment of Hellfire.
